Linda Denniston
Linda graduated From Indiana University in 1969 with a Master’s degree in art education. She then taught art in High School until she retired in 2001. Linda bought her first horse in 1970 and has been active in the horse business ever since. Her horse related activities include serving as: Secretary of the Maryland Quarter Horse Association for 5 years and Chair of this Association’s Education Committee for 3 years; Show Secretary of the Howard County Fair’s Quarter Horse Show for 10 years; member of the Potomac Valley Dressage Association’s (PVDA) Board of Directors for 2 years, chairing the Schooling Show committee and the PVDA’s Chapters Committee; Chairperson for two PVDA Chapters; manager of a PVDA Schooling show for 15 years; manager of ERAHC’s dressage show for 4 years; and Secretary of ERAHC for one year. Linda has been involved with breeding and training horses for dressage for 35 years, and has provided riding instruction for 25 years. She has studied with Dominque Barbier, Helene Clifford, Sally Swift, and is currently studying with Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel. She has been showing in open dressage competition for 30 years. Linda has organized numerous clinics and seminars, operates an Equestrian Fitness Center, is a certified personal fitness trainer, and, as an instructor, integrates personal fitness with balance of both rider and horse. Linda lives on her farm, Cedar Rowe Lusitanos, with her husband Joe.
